The Lickenator is a challenge in which two players can test their tongue agility and taste sensation. These two lickers are standing face to face to each other, while they have to use their tongue strength to move a ‘lick marble’ across the track. Who has the fastest time? And who has the best tasting ability? Each marble has different textures and flavours, so you can score extra points by guessing the ingredients and the dish.
Chloé Rutzerveld en Tim Scheffer designed The Lickenator together. Rutzerveld is a critical food designer who explores and challenges food production and consumption. She is fascinated by nature, the human body and the strange relationship people have with food. Scheffer, educated as an industrial designer, is specialized in user interaction and experience. He combines technology, art and design with live interaction to create mesmerizing results.
The Lickenator is part of the Sensory Gym.
