In Thermocorpus you can wear a suit on which images are projected using heat and cold pixels. These pixels change temperature in a split second from cold to hot and back.
With more than 900 pixels ranging in size from 1 x 1 cm to 5 x 5 centimetre it uses the whole body as a screen. Temperature affects your mood stronger than other senses. Heat and cold can bring a strong pleasure or discomfort in the body.
Interdisciplinary design collective Polymorf designed Thermocorpus. Polymorf is interested in how we can affect the body and the brain in order to strategically strengthen our immersive experience sensory and tell new stories. Besides Thermocorpus, you can also admire/ experience their installations The Entangled Body and Famous Deaths at STRP Biënnale 2017.
Thermocorpus is part of the Sensory Gym.
Thermo Corpus is designed by Polymorf.
