On 20 November, we close twenty years of STRP at Strijp-S, the place where it all began. Twenty years of wonder at the exciting possibilities of new technologies, critical questions about the influence of technology, and futures imagined through art and technology, by makers and thinkers. The history of STRP is too meaningful and all-encompassing to capture in a single evening. We are doing it anyway.

STRP presents a full evening programme with an exhibition, performances, presentations, cake and bubbles. The exhibition is drawn from twenty years of the STRP archive, including video work from every edition, and remains on view at MU until 3 January 2027. In short presentations, artists, former board members, staff and visitors share their memories. We look back and look ahead to the future of media art. STRP presents the result of its very last co-creation, made with artist Deborah Mora. And in a performative handover, the STRP archive passes to MU.
