In ancient times, the Haruspex was a seer who foretold the future through reading signs in the entrails of sacrificed animals. In this performance, Sanne dissects popular music and forms of dance and then uses the various elements to build new rituals for the distant future. Using a software instrument designed especially for this performance, algorithms lead the four dancers through the music.
The performance, consisting of a live set of music and dance, blurs the lines between a concert, a ceremony, a technical exercise or a club night. Is this 'art' or a dance demo team gone rogue?
