The End of Infinity

Icelandic singer-songwriter/producer Jofridur Akadotir JFDR, British composer/singer Kieran Brunt and Belgian cellist/composer Benjamin Glorieux embark on a project looking for new connections between classical and electronic music. This is no unfamiliar territory for the artists, when you consider Glorieux gave a new perspective to Bach's famous cello suites with the help of live electronics, and classically trained Brunt formerly collaborated with artists as diverse as Nils Frahm, Jónsi, Terry Riley and Anna von Hausswolff.

Brunt had previously asked JFDR to feature on an album by his electronic duo, Strange Boy. This went so well that a renewed collaboration was inevitable. With The End of Infinity, the trio will create an hour-long song cycle that explores how we humble earthlings comprehend our own mortality and, in doing so, deals with themes such as infinity, uncertainty, life and death.
