While the idea of an infinite earth is becoming increasingly improbable, the desire for an eternal life in the digital cloud is growing. STRP Festival 2022 invites artists and the public to think about the meaning of infinity and possible alternative scenarios for our future. What strategies can we devise to break our addiction to material growth? And how can technological progress bring connection instead of abandonment?

From 7 to 10 April 2022, you’ll meet artists, thinkers and performers determined to find answers to these questions. For four days, various locations in the center of Eindhoven will be dedicated to visual art, technological perspectives, experimental dialogues and musical performances.

During the expo, (inter)national artists show mostly new works that inspire us to build not a destructive but a constructive world. A world in which we can use other philosophies and new technologies to radically rethink humanity's relationship with nature. In addition to the physical exhibition, STRP hosts an online exhibition with works created especially for this online world. The STRP Online Expo can be visited with your regular STRP Expo ticket or with a STRP Digital ticket, with which you can visit the STRP Online Expo and STRP Scenarios livestreams.

STRP Scenarios is an on-going series of public talks that focus on the ethics of technology and the impact it has on individuals and society. This year again, STRP is collaborating with creative co-creators to create exciting hybrid formats and find surprising ways to delve into the theory and initiate conversations. The theme of the festival will be made tangible in four sessions about different subthemes and using different media.

Making new connections, that is the starting point of the music programme of STRP Festival 2022. Every evening you will discover new crossovers between electronic, modern, and classical music with improvisation and dance. The perfect way to end your STRP visit!

This year, for the first time, STRP Festival will take place at various locations in the center of Eindhoven. The works in the STRP Expo can be seen in De Heuvel, Piazza, Hotel Pullman and DOMUSDELA. The musical performances will take place in the Catharinakerk, the Paterskerk (DOMUSDELA) and the Muziekgebouw. And the brand new Kingstonian on the Vestdijk will be the setting for the two club nights on Friday and Saturday. Plus there is a STRP Bar, located in Residency for the People in the Kerkstraat (with a special RftP x STRP residency!). STRP's educational programme is an accessible way for students and teachers to get to know the festival's wide-ranging programme. Guides will take young people by the hand, teach them more about the theme and the artworks, and encourage them to explore the topic of infinity together.
