From 13 to 16 April 2023, STRP Festival dives deeper into the theme of 'The Art of Listening'. In our society we prefer seeing to hearing and speaking to listening. Self-expression is what drives thinking, science and our social media. Now that social media serve as a megaphone for the masses, and anyone can voice their opinion at any time, STRP wonders who is left to listen. How can we revalue and reclaim the art of listening? With this question in mind, STRP collaborates with artists, designers, thinkers, and makers to translate the theme of Listening into original, critical, and innovative works, performances, or scenarios for the future.
In the STRP Expo, local and (inter)national artists present mostly new works that explore listening as a method. In interactive artworks, hybrid experiences and participative performances, the theme listening is explored, questioned, and revalued. In three STRP Scenarios, STRP teams up with creative co-creators to explore future scenarios around The Art of Listening and to design and re-invent the traditional format of conferences.
A STRP Expo ticket is 20 euros and grants you access to the STRP Expo locations from 13 to 16 April. A STRP Scenario ticket is 10 euros and is valid for one of the STRP Scenarios. Students and young people under the age of 25 receive a 50% discount on their ticket.
