From August 26 to 29, special concerts took place in the Voedselbos of De Wielewaal in Eindhoven. Jameszoo, Konduku, Amy Root and Bram Stadhouders made work based on this beautiful location.
The normally inaccessible De Wielewaal estate became publicly accessible for four days for a few intimate electronic concerts. After a short introductory walk with soundscapes by Jameszoo, Konduku, Amy Root and Bram Stadhouders, the event flowed into a live performance by the artists. With the legendary album of the same name by soundscape pioneer Brian Eno as inspiration on the grounds where the late Frits Philips lived for years. Watch the photographs here on Facebook.
Experience the Soundwalk
These new compositions can still be heard through walking routes in the Philips de Jonghpark. Sound artists Strijbos & Van Rijswijk developed the Soundwalk app for this purpose. Download the Another Green World app, put on your headphones and walk the mapped out routes in the Philips de Jongh park. The closer you get to certain points on the route, the more layers of music will appear. In the Philips de Jonghpark you can listen to a total of twelve soundwalks, written by Jameszoo, Konduku, Amy Root, Bram Stadhouders, Mathilde Nobel and Strijbos & Van Rijswijk themselves.
Download the app for Android and Apple. The routes can still be walked on Fridays from 10.00h – 12.30h
